7.30pm - Thursday 17th May 2018 in St Alphege Church
One hundred years ago, on 6th February 1918, women were finally granted the vote following many years of struggle by the Suffragettes. There will be an illustrated talk by Susan Leach, whose great aunts were Suffragettes; they suffered the indignity of imprisonment for their beliefs. Susan will bring along a prison certificate and other historical items.
THIS EVENT IS IN AID OF CHURCH FUNDS and so everyone is invited.
£5 entry including first drink and refreshments.
